Cloud Cafe is an unusual bunch that comes together in a disarmingly sincere live-performance. The indie-rock band from Amsterdam finds its roots in folk as well as grunge, and doesn’t shy away from the occasional expressive outburst - strengthening the already emotive nature of their songs.

“In Over Your Head” is the first single of their self-titled debut EP due in March 2023, consisting of four songs that immerse the listener in the realm of a twentysomething’s everyday chaos. The song opens up from a lone vocal line declaring “I never meant for this to end” to the full band embodying that statement in a surge of well-considered rowdiness. The lyrics center around getting carried away when you’re young, and how good intentions won’t iron out the ugly.

The EP was recorded by the band themselves in Haarlem early 2022 and will be out March 31st on Excelsior Recordings.
