Eva van Manen, based in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, is a songwriter, artist and music producer blending pop, electronica, and spoken word into a genre-defying sound, that moves between protest and vulnerability. 

Eva van Manen’s third album Tussenruimte (translation: ‘the in-between space’) expresses the longing for different ways of being together: within friendship, within romance, within society at large. This desire to achieve this sense of togetherness is intrinsically rooted in Eva’s instincts as an artist: the merging of forms and disciplines—as a producer, singer-songwriter, and poet. It is precisely this in-between space that has so typified Eva’s work thus far: between politics and love, between word and sound, between humanity and nature. On Tussenruimte, Eva embraces many different influences in both style and lyrics: the silent, inner world and the rhythmic outer world.
