Nina June

The Netherlands

Nina June is a Dutch singer-songwriter known for her cinematic pop songs that move effortlessly between intimacy and grandeur. With her warm contralto voice, layered arrangements and emotionally resonant storytelling, she creates music that speaks directly to the heart, exploring love, loss, connection and identity.

In 2026, Nina June presents a new chapter with her album Seal Skin ~ Anthems of a Woman, a deeply personal and expansive body of work. The album explores the many facets of womanhood and the navigation between different roles and stages of life. It’s a celebration of feminine strength, vulnerability and layered identity, expressed through classic melodies, poetic lyrics and an unmistakably cinematic sound.

In an age increasingly shaped by AI, Nina longed for human touch. For this album, she worked closely with producer Marcel Tegelaar (Eefje de Visser) and pianist/arranger DeLange, shaping a sound that is both intimate and grand. To capture its emotional core, she traveled to London to record a 12-piece string orchestra, conducted by renowned arranger and conductor Sally Herbert (London Grammar, Radiohead, Lianne La Havas, Angus & Julia Stone). The orchestral recordings form the beating heart of the album, adding depth, tension and timelessness to the songs.

Nina June has released several critically acclaimed records, including Bon Voyage and Meet Me on the Edge of Our Ruin, and her music has amassed over 54 million streams worldwide. Her songs have been featured in international films, television series and commercials, and in 2023 she received a Gold Record for her song We Watched It All Come Down. Rolling Stone praised her distinctive

“Glitter Voice,” a quality that has become a defining element of her sound.

She has toured extensively across Europe and North America, performing in cities from Amsterdam to New York and from Berlin to Milan. Nina supported SYML on his European tour and later embarked on her own headline tours, including a successful first Germany tour. On stage, she is known for her compelling presence and emotional honesty, seamlessly blending strength and vulnerability.

Raised in a Dutch seaside town, Nina grew up surrounded by music: from the soulful voices of Tracy Chapman, Eva Cassidy and Annie Lennox to the classic songwriting of The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. These influences still echo through her work today, resulting in a sound often compared to artists such as Agnes Obel, Lana Del Rey, HAEVN and Kate Bush.
